I've Got a New Niece

Heck with the dogs, I've got a new niece. Born April 1, 2008, a tiny little thing at 2 lbs. 14 oz. She is beautiful and I can't wait to meet her. She's in Egleston Hospital right now recovering from a couple of surgeries. Growing and getting stronger every day, I can't wait to be a part of the wonderful life that she has ahead of her! I love you Chloe! Grow Chloe Grow!

Diggin' Up Grubs

Every time I turn around, it's something to do with grubs. I was out building a fire and was raking leaves and guess what turned up in the soil....a real live grub!! I'm turning my gardening site into Grubs' Garden, so please go visit it if you just want to go sit a spell. I love to garden but am always looking for shortcuts to get things done the simple and speedy way.

I refused a plastic bag.

I refused a plastic bag at the store today and the cashier looked at me like I had two heads. I'm going green and I'm proud of it! I vow never to take another plastic bag from any store!!

That's kinda where the whole grubs thing came in. Grubs are worm like little creatures living in the earth and when they emerge from the soil, they turn green. So I guess I'm like a little grub...going green!!! I am starting to make my own cute set of shopping bags to take with me wherever I go! I'm calling them Grub Bags...to carry all the grubby little things I buy! You can have a set too if you go to my site @ grubs.etsy.com!
